I believe that creating timeless family photographs should be fun - not stressful. In my experience, asking a child to sit still and smile at the camera is a pretty foolproof way to get them to not smile at the camera, but asking them to be goofy and silly will immediately get them laughing and smiling. I apply my training in dance photography to capture children in motion, freezing and thus preserving ephemeral memory.
I believe in creating family photographs that become treasured family heirlooms - and in having fun in the process.
I recommend having a photographer at your child's birthday so that you as parents can spend your time celebrating with your child rather than worrying about capturing the moments. Knowing that you have a professional on hand to document all of the little details, photos with friends, and family shots keeps you present and in the moment with your child on his or her big day.
I offer photography for birthday parties, first birthday cake smashes, baby naming ceremonies, school graduations, and bar and bat mitzvahs.
My albums are printed on the highest quality archival paper and are bound with a layflat spine to stay open on a table as you leaf through them. Layflat albums feature custom calligraphy on the cover by New York artist Sam Teich, making them a fine art piece in an edition of one.
I also offer hardcover photo albums. These smaller albums are popular as single-shoot photo books; over time, as you continue to shoot with me, you are building out a bookshelf of albums for your child to treasure forever.
In the late fall, I also offer custom holiday cards, and prints in all sizes year round for your homes, offices, and extended families.
I launched Ebbe Sweet Stories - a family photography subscription - in 2016. I like to describe Stories as a family memory strategy. With digital photography and smartphone technology, parents are taking more photos than ever before, but the sheer quantity of snapshots quickly becomes overwhelming. I created a family photography subscription service to take the guesswork out of preserving childhood memories. The subscription originated with the baby book: four shoots in a newborn’s first year culminating in an heirloom baby book album. As children grow, families select the frequency of their photography to suit their needs and schedules. Over the years, I produce a collection of family art books for your children - and their children, and their children’s children - to treasure forever.
